A third Horde warlock race

Orc and undead have been the only Horde warlock races for the entire history of Classic. Troll warlock doesn’t change what warlock does; it gives players who want the troll identity — for roleplay, for Berserking, or simply for preference — a class they previously had to go elsewhere for.

Berserking is the open question

Berserking has increased attack and cast speed as health drops throughout Classic’s history, a mechanic that already benefits any spellcaster, not just melee. Whether it still works the same way in Forever isn’t confirmed: the demo build changes every race’s racials, and Blizzard hasn’t named troll as one of the specific examples yet. Until it is, treat any claim about troll warlock’s racial advantage as unverified.

What to watch

Whether Berserking or any other troll racial changes once Blizzard names specifics, and whether troll warlock ends up distinct from orc or undead warlock mechanically.
